Summer, We Sadly Bid You Adeiu

Well summer is officially over. :(  I went back to work on August 12, 2013 and Loren went back to school on August 19th.  Arden is, of course, still going to sweet Mrs. Cheryl's house.  We had a good summer and got a lot of decorating and organization things done in the house as well as a lot of cooking and other preparations for the busy fall time of year.  We slept in, swam, went to Wahoos games, visited with my grandmother, and even made it to the Gulfarium.  The only thing that could have been better was the weather.  It rained nearly every day in July which didn't allow us to swim and be outside as much as we had hoped.  Currently, the air is crisp and cool in the mornings and evenings.  It is beginning to feel like fall is in the air!  Speaking of fall, the college football season kicks off this Thursday, 8.29.  Andy will be hosting a small party for some of his friends.

We hung floor length curtains in our bedroom and a matching set in the bathroom window.  Love the light, romantic feel!

Andy and the girls on the Fourth of July.  We had a great time at the Milton Fireworks with the Millers and other friends.  About 30 minutes before the fireworks were to begin, it started pouring.  We watched the fireworks under an umbrella but they were still beautiful.

We always take a picture of Andy and Grandma.  The height difference makes me laugh.  This was Andy's birthday dinner at Founaris Brothers in Pensacola.

Here is my little Grandma and I making "Panama Chicken."  We've been doing this for a few years now.  She is 89 ya'll!  We are going to visit her in Panama in March to help celebrate her 90th birthday.

A typical summer day may have included a trip to Target.  Arden asked me to take their picture so I gladly complied. :)

This is at our cousin Emerson's princess spa party. They are building a house down the street from us which is so neat because they built a house across the street from us at our old house.  Hopefully the girls will all get to hang out soon.

Here is Loren sitting at her first grade desk on the supply drop off day.

Here is our big first grader headed into the school building on her first day. (8/19/2013)

This one is a little out of order but this is Loren's cubby on supply drop off day.

I'm Back!

So, it's been just a little while since I last posted - ha!  We have of course been pretty busy over the last year and a half.  Here are some of the major happenings:
We moved into our new home on July 3, 2012.  Exactly a year ago today! We are really loving it and don't ever plan to live anywhere else!

Loren started Kindergarten at Berryhill Elementary on August 20, 2012.  She was in Mrs. Adascheck's room and had a great year.  She is reading like crazy and just really excelled academically!

Loren played soccer in both the fall 2012 and spring 2013 and loved it! Our friend, Doug S. coached and all the kids had a great experience.  Loren seems to prefer soccer over dance at this point.

Halloween 2013!  We had Princess Jasmine and Abu the monkey.

Our house at Christmas time!  We love lights.  A friend made us the Nativity Scene which we love.

Santa brought the girls a Barbie Jeep for Christmas.  Here they are cruising on Christmas Day.

We put in a pool in mid January 2013.!  This was one of the main reasons we moved and we are really enjoying it.  Loren is swimming like a fish.

We went to Disney in February.  This was Loren's second trip and Arden's first.  We had a great time although it was very, very, uncharacteristically  cold for Orlando.

Arden turned 2 on March 3, 2013 and we had her birthday party at church.  She had a beautiful pony for her "Pink Polka Dot Pony Party."  It was seriously the coldest day of the year.  The kids rode the phony and then we all hung out in the activity center to stay warm. We had a jumpy and the kids loved it.  We love you sweet girl!

Loren turned 6 on April 18, 2013 and we had her party at Sam's Fun City.  She had a blast!  Where has the time gone and why does my baby girl look like such a big girl?!  She is such a blessing to us and the best big sister.

That takes us through April.  Loren got out of school on June 7th but I had to work until June 13th.  Since summer began we have just been swimming and hanging out at home.  Trying to get some things done around the house decorating wise.  Getting ready to prepare for returning to school.  My grandmother has been in town for about a week and a half and is leaving tomorrow.  :(  We have had a great visit and I will post about her visit soon.
