Saturday

So it's Saturday and gorgeous weather.  Andy let me sleep in a little and took care of the baby.  We had a nice dinner at Fish House and even got Starbucks afterward! We have a birthday party to take Loren to later this afternoon.  I am still a little down though because Andy will be leaving on Monday morning for a business trip.

It's not that I don't think I can handle both girls for the week; it is that I miss my partner.  We had done the whole Skype thing last trip he was on and that was pretty neat. (can't believe we are like the last people in the US to try it)  Anyway, I'm going to put on a happy face and take care of my girls while he is gone. 

Ok, my mind now draws a blank of what to say.  Additionally, the little battery low warning thing just flashed on the screen.  I will likely add more later.

Went to a child's birthday party.  It was nice to get out and socialize.  Loren did great and I have never seen her be so independent and enjoy one of those bounce house things so much.  Arden did well also.  There was yummy Filipino food too!

Andy is getting ready to go to some "game truck" event.  A bunch of grown up dudes leave their wives and kids to go and play violent video games on a Saturday night.  Hmm....actually,  I think I am jealous - wish I had a regular event like that on my social calendar!

First Blog Entry

So, today is Friday, April 29th (I guess it will note the date at the bottom of each blog entry?)  I've decided to start this blog after reading a few other ladies' blogs.  They use them to document their family lives as well as their personal thoughts.  I plan to do the same - pretty exciting! (for me)  I have given old fashioned scrapbooking a try and didn't get too far.  Hopefully this will go a little smoother.

So far, not too smooth.  First, while trying to sign up for this blog, I put my birthday with the current year and it told me I was too young to have a blog - imagine that!  Anyway, now I am trying to get the first entry put up and Arden (who is 8 weeks old!) doesn't seem to want to take a nap - at all.  She has been up since about 7:30 and it is now 1:30 and is currently not crying but whining a bit for my attention.  I really want to get some pictures of my girls up here.  May have to have the husbands help with that.

Also of interest today: 

• It is the "Royal Wedding" day of Prince William and Kate Middleton.  While I did not wake up to watch it at 3am this morning, I did DVR it and watched most of it.  Saving the balcony kiss for later.  ;) 

• Additionally, my husband and I will be going on a date tonight!!!!  First time in several months.  Thanks Mom!  Have no idea what we will do but I know it will involve a nice dinner.
• We got the letter today saying my vehicle is paid for!!!  Woohoooo!  Hopefully our two current PAID for vehicles will last a long time and we won't have a car payment.
